A Whale Of A Tale

Robert Sulzer

All August, Theatre Workshop of Nantucket's Professional Resident Company is performing Moby Dick The Musical. Don’t expect a bellowing cast of men singing about the adventures of the open sea.

In this musical comedy, the young ladies at St. Godley’s Academy set Herman Melville’s Moby Dick to music in order to save their school from bankruptcy. The energetic musical is packed with all sorts of playful gimmicks including: tap dancing, squirt guns, and 3-D goggles.

The best part of the show may be the young voices of the stars of the show; Donald Dallaire as Captain Ahab, Rebecca Kubaska as Ishmael, and Theresa Tokarowski as Esta.

Make sure to check out our Plum Calendar for all of Moby Dick The Musical's curtain times.
