Coast Guard Senior Chief Retires

The Coast Guard and Nantucket community showed their support for retiring Senior Chief Sheila Lucey who prepares to leave her post at the Brant Point station and start her position as the Assistant to the Harbormaster on Nantucket.

From admirals and congressmen to civilians and crewmen, over 400 guests were in attendance at the change-of-command and retirement ceremony. Lucey described the event as "overwhelming and emotional" in this commemorative piece. Lucey's retirement is preceded by a 24-year long career in the United States Coast Guard.
