Register Your Bike 2007

Liz Huberman

With bicycle theft being in the top five criminal activities on Nantucket Island, nothing should be higher priority for a bike owner than registering your bike with the Nantucket Police Department.

It might sound silly to some, but with the average price of a bike being around a few hundred dollars, it's a valuable resource for those who can utilize it.

Registering your bike on Nantucket is of no cost to anyone. All you have to do is go down to 3 East Chestnut Street, located right behind the Nantucket Police Station downtown, talk to the friendly Mrs. Burns about filling out a form, and stick a registration sticker on your bike.

For more information on registering you bike on Nantucket, stay tuned to the MorningNoon&Night Show for a video segment airing this Sunday, live at 8:00 am, then again at 3:00 and 8:00 pm.

Bike Registration

Wow, what a neat idea! I'm really looking forward to seeing the full story Sunday morning. If I had a bike, I'd register it for sure!
