Since 1945, artist George Thomas has been living on Nantucket and
capturing its beauty with watercolors, pastels, oil and photography. Thomas talks about his use of light and the subjects of many of his paintings: fishing and sailing.

The paintings come alive! I

The paintings come alive! I can see the waves dancing, the fish jumping, children running on the beaches and particularly the joy in the sailboats. As one of George's neices, we've all shared the years of visiting Nantucket, Nova Scotia and more enjoying and appreciating a great uncle and a great artist. Mal
