Winter on Nantucket is a time for reflection, relaxation and creativity. The Island's population drops from 50,000 summer residents to 10,000 in the winter, but for many year-round residents, staying busy throughout the year is standard practice.
If you take a look at the winter population, you'll find a vibrant community filled with extensive service programs and many creative outlets. Preserving the Island's History, conserving land, and caring for the community happens year-round.
