Nantucket Wine Festival 2007: The Terroir of Chocolate

Liz Huberman

The Terroir of Chocolate, which in French translates to "The Soil of Chocolate," was one of the many events going on as part of the 11th Annual Nantucket Wine Festival.

Caroline Yeh, owner of Temper Chocolates in downtown Boston, is nationally recognized as an expert on chocolates and its delicate properties. Yeh was the premiere speaker for the event, delighting guests with her vast knowledge of the cocoa bean and how it complements various wine products. 30 participants joined Yeh at The White Elephant where she introduced the chocolate tastings and described the uniqueness of each sweet indulgence.

The chocolates were paired with Veuve Ciquot Demi-Sec, presented by Andy Gessell of Moet-Hennessey USA.

Stay tuned to Plum for coverage of the Nantucket Wine Festival all week long, and be sure to check out the official website of the festival.
