
The 12th Annual Nantucket Film Festival, which has gained increasing notoriety for its' emphasis on screenwriting and the film making process, came to an end on Sunday after five days of screenings, events, and parties.
Throughout the week Plum spoke with the major players in the Film Festival at all the major events and on The MorningNoon&Night Show.
The 12th Annual Nantucket Film Festival began on Wednesday with the Opening Night Film Evening. The screenplay was written by Michael Cunningham and cast included stars Meryl Streep, Claire Daines, and Glenn Close.
Thursday marked the Nantucket Film Festival Premiere of Autism Every Day, a film sponsored by the non-profit organization Autism Speaks. Plum's Kate Brosnan got a chance to talk to talk about the movie with co-founders of Autism Speaks, Bob and Suzanne Wright.
Plum interviewed many of the Nantucket Film Festival contributors on the MorningNoon&Night Show. Joe Pantoliano, producer and star of the Nantucket Film Festival's Audience Award for Best Feature Canvas made an appearance and Steven Weber was on set to discuss his screenplay Filthy Dirty Twisted Lust.
Joe Pantoliano presented the first annual Adrienne Shelley Excellence in Filmmaking Award to Annie Sundberg and Ricki Stern, co-directors and co-producers of The Devil Came on Horseback.
Peter Farrelly and Anne Meara hosted The Late Night Storytelling event on Friday night. This year's theme was obsession.
On Saturday night, The NBC Screenwriters Tribute Award was presented to Robert Benton.
Nate Meyer was presented the Nantucket Film Festival's Tony Cox Award for both screenwriting and directing.
