It's okay to fall off your seat here in Nantucket; and it's a given that you will if you check out some of the comedy shows this summer on the Island."My question is, how are we going to build a wall without the Mexicans?" stated local comedian Kevin Flynn on building a wall on the U.S. border. You can't go wrong when you check out one of the comic performances here, whether it's the Improv Show on Sunday nights at 8:30, or Kevin Flynn's one-man stand-up act on Mondays at 8:30. All of the shows are performed in the downstairs theater of the Methodist Church, located at 2 Centre Street. The Improv Show brought out over 50 people this past weekend, all laughing along with actors Christy Kickum, Seth Whelden, Ryan Dobbins, and Sean Graves. "Every show is different," said Kickum, who has been with the Improv Show for the last eight years, "when you come to see it more than once, you'd see two totally different shows."Kevin Flynn has been performing his hilarious routine on Nantucket for 15 years. In an intelligent and honest voice, Flynn talks about his experience as an actor and his take on current events. He said, "It's Nantucket, how many places can you perform barefoot? It recharges my batteries."So come out on your next Sunday or Monday night off and check out the hilarious antics at 2 Centre Street.
