Figawi Race Weekend is considered one of the Northeast's premiere sailing events and serves as a kickoff for Nantucket's busy summer season. Over 200 boats registered for the 2008 race from from Hyannis in Cape Cod to Nantucket Island. Their mission: win the big one. From wondrous rainbow-colored spinnakers to majestic classic styles, hundreds of boatsmen and crewmembers gathered for the 37th annual Figawi Race.
