Chris Matthews is known for many things: speechwriting for the Carter Administration, as a journalist in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, and, of course, for his popular political-rousing show Hardball with Chris Matthews on MSNBC, just to name a few.
Now he can add co-hosting Plum's MorningNoon&Night Show with Kate Brosnan onto that list.
If you had your television tuned to Channel 22 on August 24, you were graced with the awesomeness of our co-hosts chatting it up on the set down at The Ropewalk. "It's wonderful to be here on this wonderful day," said Matthews to Brosnan as the show began.
Before getting to the guests making their appearances on the show for the day, Matthews talked to us a little bit about the upcoming release of his book on October 2nd.
Matthews' book is entitled Life's a Campaign: What Politics Has Taught Me About Friendship, Rivalry, Reputation, and Success. "It's life lessons from the big-time politicians; people like Bill Clinton, George Bush Senior, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Tip O'Neill and Nancy Pelosi," said Matthews, "In almost every case, I've been able to find something they do really well that, if you do really well, it will help you be a better person."
Matthews also got to talking about what he knows best: current politics, specifically our current government. "We have a president who doens't listen, but I think that's his biggest problem," se said, "He's an expert on all these things without any study, and I think you have to wonder, 'How does he know?' "
