Nantucket is the only wild Bay Scallop Fishery left on the east coast, and there are many people out there helping to keep our precious shellfish alive and well.

From Harbormaster Dave Fronzuto's efforts, to people in our Town Biology Department, to the scallopers themselves, strides are being made in leaps and bounds this year, it seems, to help increase our local scallop population.
