Two Dolphins became stranded in a Madaket creek this February. Watch as members of the Nantucket Marine Mammal Stranding Team and the Cape Cod Stranding Team talk about their roles in these situations.

Experts work to save two dolphins stranded in Madaket harbor.

Last week, two Common Dolphins were spotted in the shallow waters of Madaket Harbor. Onlookers contacted the Nantucket Marine Mammal Stranding Team, a volunteer group on Nantucket that responds to the beaching of whales, dolphins, and seals. The team of local ecologists and volunteers derives its authority and draws support from the New England Aquarium.
